Calçotada in the vineyards

40,0090,00 IVA inc.

Did you know that the word “calçot” comes from the fact that, as the plant grows, it needs to be “calçat,” meaning surrounded by soil until it’s time to harvest? Well, the time has come to “uncover” them and enjoy calçots in a delicious meal!

For this reason, we are once again opening the season for our calçot workshops in Maresme, near Barcelona, in a private vineyard. An experience you’ll remember! An outdoor activity, surrounded by vines, in the heart of nature, to enjoy with friends and family!

We begin the day with a walk through the vineyard to explore the surroundings of the Can Boquet farmhouse and start building up an appetite. Afterwards, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start preparing the calçotada as a team! Following our instructions and guidance, we will light the fire on the ground—using the vine branches—and cook the calçots that we have previously prepared. We’ll accompany them with an appetizer, sausages, and grilled meat, and, of course, a tasting of our wines!

The price includes:

  • Tasting of 2 wines during the workshop and lunch.
  • Support and tools for preparing the calçotada as a team.
  • Vine branches, firewood, calçots, and meat for cooking.

The menu for our calçotada workshop includes:

  • Calçots with romesco sauce
  • Organic farm chicken and sausage
  • Roasted potatoes
  • Orange and Catalan cream
  • Bread with tomato
  • Bouquet d’Alella red wine
